We started hosting the Premium Session back in 2007 with the goal of addressing areas of hurt, educational weaknesses, or just good practical insights from Men of God. This year we wanted to build on that idea by helping you to “Break Through” in your ministry! These are intense sessions with experts who want to help coach you in your ministry. Our speakers have been hand picked because we see God’s hand in their lives and know that they have a message that will help you where you are. There is more to these sessions than just a lecture though, they are informal learning environments where you can engage the speakers and hopefully walk away with specific ideas and concepts to take home. We ask each speaker to leave the last 15 minutes of their session open for Q&A and most choose to stay as long as needed to answer questions and help process problems. These sessions are the highlight of the conference every year.
BreakThrough Session 1:
Dr. Ed Stetzer from Lifeway Research will start Saturday morning off with a look into the future. This session is the most appropriate session to start the conference with because we are all dealing with “Ministry in Uncharted Waters” and find ourselves asking, where is this all headed. Dr. Stetzer spends hours every day researching and examining information to make predictions on trends in the evangelical world. He will spend this hour talking with us about the future of ministry.
BreakThrough Session 2:
Dr. John Bisagno has been in the ministry for 40 years, 30 of which were spent at the First Baptist Church of Houston. He has authored over 25 books, and taught at every Southern Baptist Seminary. Dr. Bisagno has raised hundreds of “Timothy’s” in his life and has lived his life to pass the torch spiritually. He is going to talk about generational differences in ministry and how we can leave a legacy.
BreakThrough Session 3:
Dr. Al Mohler will be with us to talk about a very timely issue, the current economic crisis in America. We all have felt the recession, we all have read the headlines and heard the news, and we all know that the end seems near. Dr. Mohler will help us to first of all understand the economic situation we are in but also help us to connect the dots to the Ends Times.
BreakThrough Session 4:
This will be a special for conference attendees, Dr. Ronnie Floyd the president of the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force will lead this hour session accompanied by various members of the task force. They will report on what the GCR has done to date and where they are headed. They will also open the floor for Q&A and discussion to talk about the SBC and the future of our denomination. You will want to be here to be apart of this discussion and to share your thoughts.
BreakThrough Session 5:
Danny Wuerffel needs no introduction, but you might not know as much as you thought you knew about Danny. Danny is a missionary to the inner city of New Orleans in the 9th Ward known as Desire Streets. Danny took over Desire Street Ministries in 2006 after ending his NFL career because he felt God call him to navigate for hope! Danny will talk about how you in your ministry have to be sharing the gospel through tangible acts of love bringing hope to the hopeless.
BreakThrough Session 6:
Every year we try to have someone come in and talk about personal revival. We all long for a movement of God in our country. We all want to experience the power and presence of God in our walks. Dr. Henry Blackaby has been helping Christians for years to connect to God and know His heart. This will be a time of refreshment and encouragement that will restore your heart.
